The Arc of DC advocates for the rights and full community participation of all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Together with our network of members, we improve systems of supports and services, connect families, inspire communication and influence public policy.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life of all persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the District of Columbia and their families through supports and advocacy.
We envision a society in which individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities exercise their rights and are afforded a full set of opportunities and choices that enable them to contribute and have impact in the community.
This group does not provide legal representation in court.
Mission Statement: Our mission is to promote and protect the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively support their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
