Service Information
The mission of the Children's Law Center of Massachusetts is to promote and secure equal justice and to maximize opportunity for low-income children and youth by providing quality advocacy and legal services. The Law Center maintains a statewide phone helpline for parents, youth, attorneys, and helping professionals seeking assistance and guidance on legal matters that impact children. The number is 1-888-KIDLAW8 (1-888-543-5298). Issues routinely addressed through intake calls include, but are not limited to, children who are out of school or not receiving the educational services to which they are entitled under federal and state law; emancipation; immigration; rights of children who have "aged out" of foster care or other state human service systems; and, collateral consequences of juvenile court involvement.
At this time, the helpline is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
