Service Information
The Pro Bono Project helps low-income families, individuals, and the elderly in need gain access to lawyers who can help them resolve civil legal issues. These issues range from family law matters like divorces, custody agreements, name changes, and adoptions; to property questions related to successions and estate planning, proof of title, contractor litigation, and consumer complaints; to debt issues, and much more. We serve Washington, St Tammany, St. Bernard, Jefferson, Orleans and Plaquemines Parishes. We can only accept clients who meet the federal income requirement poverty guidelines. Mission Statement: The Pro Bono Project’s continuing mission to provide free, quality civil legal services to those less fortunate is more important than ever. By engaging volunteer attorneys to render pro bono services, The Pro Bono Project serves clients in Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany and Washington parishes. The Pro Bono Project works in collaboration with other social service providers to improve the quality of life for our clients and our community.
